In order to achieve long-term impact, the Rashi Foundation applies the principles of venture philanthropy, which adopts concepts and practices from business management to reach philanthropic goals.
The approach we developed takes responsibility for the complete life cycle of projects, from initial concept all the way to implementation and evaluation:
Identifying and mapping crucial social needs.
Designing a solution: detailed model of operation (for a program) or physical plan (for a capital project).
Providing seed funding and recruiting partners for a pilot.
Implementation accompanied by monitoring and evaluation.
In this way, we create an environment for testing the feasibility and effectiveness of innovative solutions. Once proven, we take them to scale in collaboration with the government.
Time and again, Rashi with the help of other philanthropic partners, has demonstrated its ability to start up social initiatives and develop them into programs and services that set new standards in their fields
