Overview
ELIYA (Israel Association for the Advancement of Blind and Visually Impaired Children) has been active for over 20 years, providing services for pre-school blind and visually-impaired children. Many of these children are multi-handicapped, suffering from various developmental disabilities, and the value of intensive work with them at an early age cannot be overestimated.

ELIYA has established three kindergartens – in Petach Tikva, Be'er Sheva and Jerusalem – to assist these children develop to the best of their abilities and prepare for integration into mainstream kindergartens and schools. The kindergartens also encourage extensive parental support in order to facilitate the children's rehabilitation.

Among the activities and programs operating at the kindergartens are: * Transportation from the region * Speech, physical and occupational therapy * Hydrotherapy * Therapeutic horseback riding * Shiatsu * Family vacations * Summer camps * Toy library with specialized games
