|
Overview
The Anti-Drug Mobile Information Unit operates all over the country, anywhere where you can find adolescents: schools, leisure and sport gatherings, concerts, universities etc. This project, implemented by the Israel Anti Drug Authority in cooperation with the Sacta-Rash Foundation, reaches out to hundreds of young people every month. The unit is operated by an ex-drug addict who has been through an extensive training program, and draws upon personal experience in an effort to deliver a credible message to young people who are often suspicious and not convinced when spoken to about the dangers of drug use.
The project is part of a wide-scale intervention program targeting children and youth that aims to provide innovative approaches to combat Israel’s growing drug problem.
