Overview
The Soroka Medical Center provides expert health care to over 800,000 residents of the Negev region, which covers 50% of Israel's total area. The rapid population growth of the 1990's placed an enormous burden on the hospital's facilities. Project "Soroka 2000" was initiated in 1996 to answer current needs and meet future ones, and was designed to transform the entire medical complex while creating an infrastructure for further development.
