Branco Weiss Integrative High Schools for Drop-Outs
Goal
To provide a supportive and corrective educational framework for actual or potential school drop-outs.
Overview
The Branco Weiss Institute has established a network of integrative high schools in six peripheral locations, targeting actual or potential drop-outs, with the aim of setting them back on track. A central idea of the schools is to offer the pupils a different experience from that of regular school: an atmosphere of affection and support, emphasis on self-leadership along with community values, and personal programs of study and development for each student according to educational needs. Close communication between staff and students is encouraged, and contributes to the special learning environment where students enjoy trust and belief in their abilities.

In 2003, there were 191 graduates from the schools, of whom 119 were drafted into the IDF.
