Ron Ben Hayoun
Director of Yahdav
Yahdav Association
The Yahdav Association of Be'er Sheva and the South was established in 1999 by the Rashi Foundation in order to improve social services in the southern region of Israel, from Be'er Sheva to Eilat. Yahdav operates programs in the areas of welfare, education and health for at-risk children and youth, families in distress, and people with disabilities in the community. Our goal is to expand and diversify social services in the south, in a manner that guarantees equal opportunities for all of our target populations.

The Yahdav Association is an independent legal non-profit organization, directed by Ron Ben Hayoun, and its activities are funded by the Rashi Foundation, government ministries, public and local authorities, and communal, corporate and private donors. Its offices are located in Be'er Sheva.

Ron coordinated volunteer and leadership activities in his home town of Sderot before beginning his professional life working on behalf of people with disabilities. After various positions at other organizations (Alut, Gvanim), he became a founding staff member of Yahdav, an association in Be'er Sheva which then focused on groups with special needs. In 2004, after Yahdav had become a subsidiary of the Rashi Foundation, Ron assumed position of director.
